How to undelete files
To increase the chances of files recovery, please read the important information below:
- Undelete files on the system drive
- Undelete files on a hard drive (non-system drive)
How to undelete files on a removable drive:
- Undelete files from a flash drive
- Undelete files from USB drive
- Undelete files from a memory stick
- Undelete files from an SD card
Undelete Deleted Files supports all types of files.
Note: jpg, jpeg, gif and bmp files can be restored in the registered version only. In a trial version you can preview these types of files.
1. Run the program
double-click the Undelete Deleted Files desktop icon

or click the 'Start' button and choose Undelete Deleted Files from the list of programs.
Click the 'Tools' button and select 'Undelete Deleted Files'

2. Scan the drive for deleted files
- From the 'Select disk' drop-down menu select your disk
- Under 'File types to scan', select 'All files' or, if you need to find the certain type of files, select the 'Specify file type' option and enter the file extension
- Click the 'Scan' button.
Note: If you cannot find your desired deleted files in the 'Scan' results, most likely they had been overwritten.
3. Undelete deleted files

Select the files to undelete and click the 'Undeleted selected files' button
For more convenience you can sort deleted files by name, type, size, date, location, etc.
To recover both the original file name and folder path, select the 'Undelete with original path' option.
Note: jpg, jpeg, gif and bmp files can be restored in the registered version only.
In a trial version you can preview these types of files. For previewing, select the file and click the 'Preview' button.
To recover the original last modified date, select the 'Restore the original last modified date' option in the program Settings
Click 'Browse' to select the folder where to save recovered files

Note: Do not save recovered files to the same drive as it could overwrite the files you need to undelete

How to permanently delete files beyond recovery
